Job Description Position OverviewOrder clerk is responsible for the daily processing of customer orders received via EDI, email, fax, and/or order forms from Sales. Review all orders to ensure correct pricing, quantities, and shipping requirements are met. Communicate and assist customers with any questions or concerns regarding their order. Essential Job Functions

  • Process customer PO's using company systems
  • Review customer PO's for pricing and product availability
  • Update customers on the status of PO's and provide tracking information
  • Answer phones to office main line and direct calls Skills and Competency Requirements
    • Reading Comprehension in work related documents
    • Active Listening skills
    • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
    • Effective time management skills
    • Ability to use mathematics skills to calculate cost and order extensions
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Critical Thinking skills to determine appropriate actions and responses Qualifications/Other Requirements
      • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
      • At least 1 year of office/data entry experience
      • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
      • Experience in use of office equipment including phone, fax, and copier
      • Basic knowledge of MS Office: Excel, Outlook, and Word, and web based platforms
