Job Description:

FCH Enterprises, Inc (Home of Zippy's Restaurants) is looking for a Payroll Supervisor. This position has the responsibility of handling the processing of all matters related to payroll for hourly personnel and provides backup to the Payroll Manager.

Input/update employee information into ADP system (address change, tax exemptions, direct deposit, etc)Create and run reports to check for errors in employee files and make corrections as neededInput rate and position changes into ADPTrack vacation and make bi-weekly anniversary payouts when appropriateWork closely with Store Managers on employee pay issues, process retro paysWork closely with Human Resources on rate/position changes, new hires, terminationsHandle employee inquiries via phone, email, in-personPrepare and process all necessary DOL forms for new and terminated employeesVerify employment for authorized firms and agencies and as designated by the employeeHandle wage garnishment, tax levy, subpoena, child support processing through ADP on a timely basis and communicate with these various agencies when necessaryResearch payroll discrepancies and issue manual checks or process paybacks as necessaryIssue stop payments and reissue employee paychecksUnderstand companys hourly pay scale, tip credit calculation, company pay policiesGenerate reports through ADP for managers: eg. store employee lists, PTO balancesProcess special pay as requiredVerify and validate pay records, PTO requests, etc and communicate with managers to ensure all records are complete and accurateBack up for Management payroll processingOTHER FUNCTIONS:May perform various other duties as assigned.

Scheduling: This position is full-time, and the individual must complete the required work by certain predefined payroll due dateEnvironmental Conditions:Air-conditioned, office environmentEntirely on-site (not eligible for remote/hybrid work)Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting of 20 poundsSitting most of the dayGood speech and hearing necessary for communicating with the public, and talking with vendors on the telephoneSight for performing computer work and paper workMental Ability:Speaks English fluently and able to communicate with the workforces varying abilities in language and understandingAbility to perform basic arithmetic - add/subtract/multiply and divideAbility to operate a PC and 10-key at a reasonably proficient levelPre-Employment Requirements:Must pass drug and background screening testEducation: High school or G.E.D. requiredBachelors degree in accounting or related field, or comparable work experienceExperience: At least one year of payroll preparation is requiredADP (Workforce Now) processing preferredKnowledge of State and Federal Labor Law is preferredIntermediate or higher level of experience with ExcelDesired Skills: Must possess a high degree of accuracy.
