Job Description:
This is a role requiring a higher level of caregiving skills and
flexibility to provide seamless care to clients during transitional
periods and call-offs, as well as to ensure consistent,
high-quality care. The person in this role will be oriented to a
variety of clients and will assist in introducing/orienting other
caregivers to clients. This role will require field observations
and reporting as appropriate. The Field Specialist I will be
expected to go to all assigned shifts in any location within
BrightStar Care territory including the BrightStar Care Office as
needed during their specified availability. Weekly Hours guarantee:
This role will work a minimum of 40 hours per week. If scheduled to
work less than 40 hours, the difference is paid at the regular
Field Specialist pay rate, if conditions are met. Calling off or
not accepting work assigned during scheduled availability dates and
time eliminates the 40-hour guarantee. This role is expected to be
available to work for at least 5 days each week, which includes one
or both weekend days. This role is eligible for overtime pay if
hours worked exceed 40 hours in a calendar week. Key Leadership,
Management, and Accountabilities (LMA): Provide client care as
directed by the Director of Nursing, Clinical Care Manager, or a
supervising Registered Nurse. Accurately observes and reports
client and caregiver concerns to the clinical supervisor. Role
model for PCAs. Skilled and Training Competencies: The Field
Specialist must be proficient and able to demonstrate caregiver
skills including but not limited to ADLs, IADLs, Transfers, and
Lifts. Must complete all required In the Know Training and
educational materials. Values-based Competencies: The Field

High school diploma or GED
Successful completion of a nursing assistant program
Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray Minimum one
(1) year of documented health care experience is required (unless
participating in an approved Mentor Program)
Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push
and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility
of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds We are an Equal
