SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Child & Family Service blends hope, innovation, and perseverance,

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, helping
to maintain all aspects of the organization's donor database
including code tables, admin, configuration, campaigns, funds,
appeals, letters, gift batches, reports, query, import/exports,
receipting, and helping train users in the software. Additionally,
the Donor Relations Specialist helps to track and meet deadlines
related to data entry, prospect research, solicitations, and
reporting, and will assists with gift processing including counting
and recording donations accurately and per applicable laws, rules
and regulations, generates and verifies the accuracy of receipts,
drafts, edits, and generates thank you letters, pledge reminders,
reports, recognition lists, gift agreements, pledge forms, and
online donation forms. The position helps to maintain the
organizations mail and email lists, is responsible for reconciling
all gift records and relevant donor information for the
organization; compiling and generating daily, weekly, monthly,
quarterly, and annual reports; helps to ensure the proper
maintenance and upkeep of donor records including conducting
regular quality audits; conducts donor and prospect research,
generalized data entry and other related tasks as necessary.
These tasks require compilation of data from various sources
including, mail, email, online sources, and verbal. The use of a
customized donor database, other proprietary software, and the
Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook will
be required to complete these duties. Additional duties may include
copying, scanning, printing, and maintaining paper and electronic
filing systems. Tasks will require working both individually and in
a team. Other duties not listed here may be assigned as necessary.
Candidates must be available during regular organizational
operating hours, must demonstrate consistent regular and
predictable attendance, and must be able to work additional hours,
including nights and weekends as needed.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized
accrediting agency - general major. Requires basic knowledge or
training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as
social work, professional accounting, finance, business
administration, and marketing.
EXPERIENCE
Over two years, up to and including four years.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
At least 4 years of database management experience required.
Expertise in Microsoft Office Programs including relevant versions
of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Proficient in the use of Excel formulas, tables, and charts for
data reporting.
Proficiency in Windows 10.
Business writing skills required.
Cash handling experience.
Ability to type 35+ words per minute.
10 key by touch.
Keen attention to detail.
Must be well organized.
Ability to quickly switch tasks as priorities change while ensuring
all assigned projects are completed accurately and on time.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Comfortable working with a computer and staring at a computer
screen for extended periods.
Ability to work and focus in an open office layout.
Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
Comfortable with basic arithmetic and algebra.
Ability to think in the abstract and use structured problem-solving
techniques to identify solutions.
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's
abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an
as-needed basis throughout the island.
This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and
continued employment is contingent on a record clear of
convictions.
