Cloud Network Engineer (Secret) (2244)at SMX(View all jobs) (https://www.smxtech.com/careers/)United StatesSMX is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to support projects across the Cloud Business Unit focusing in on Defense and National Security Clients. The Cloud Network Engineer will engineer, develop, and support technical solutions for high visibility client engagements. The Cloud Network Engineer must be a proven problem solver in technical disciplines as well as have a keen understanding of DoD IT related standards and policy. This is a hands-on role where the Cloud Network Engineer serves primarily as a technical Cloud Network Subject Matter Expert working directly with clients and other Cloud Engineers and Cloud Solution Architects. This individual will bring a passion for technology, a strong technical skill set, and proven experience in Cloud Network Engineering exhibit best practices implementations.**Primary Responsibilities:**+ Define and engineer solution capabilities that satisfy customer business drivers / requirements+ Act as a trusted advisor and Cloud SME for technical decisions during client engagements. Develop courses of action using innovative and Cloud best practices+ Perform architecture, design, and requirements analysis. Focus on cloud-native services and optimizing the customer landscape through adoption of these services+ Create/Execute implementation plans for multi-tenant cloud environments to support the customer. Develop and translate customer requirements into world-class implementations providing hands on technical delivery of cloud solutions.+ Develop and utilize deployment and process automation capabilities (scripts, applications, platforms, cloud native services, APIs) to ensure processes are defined, repeatable, scalable, and able to be published for wider utilization; may include capabilities such as Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.+ Take ownership of issues and act with high sense of urgency when required providing direct support to customers providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting direction, and complex problem resolution+ Produce clear and concise documentation including program-level, design artifacts, as-built documents, and user level documentation to fully capture technical baselines and operational capabilities to guide operations and activities associated to enterprise scale cloud environments+ Provide advisory services for technical solutioning within DoD IT related frameworks, standards, and policies**Required Skills & Experience**+ Current DoD Secret Level clearance ability to obtain a Secret clearance+ Must be DoD 8570 IAT Level II certified. Some examples (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC. Security+ CE. CND and SSCP)+ 5+ years of experience in a role that encompasses cloud network engineering+ A degree in a technical discipline.+ Possess or ability to attain cloud related certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Developer, etc.+ Subject Matter expertise including design and configuration of F5. Knowledge and experience with next generation firewalls such as Palo Alto or Sophos. Problem determination skills from design issues through packet level capture inspection to determine root causes of issues.+ Cloud Networking Subject Matter expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.+ Design, Build, and Operational support of networking solutions and integration into an overall cloud native solution utilizing core services such as VPC, WAF, Transit Gateway, Subnets, Security Groups, Network Access Control Lists.+ Delivery experience and working knowledge utilizing key Department of Defense guidance and governance including DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) implementation of Virtual Data Center Security Stack (VDSS)+ Core System Administration skills in Linux or Windows with demonstrated skills in Security, Active Directory, Identity and Access Management, Zero Trust, and STIG remediation experience+ Extensive knowledge of, and hands on with, DoD Enterprise networks and understanding how those solutions translate to a cloud environment+ Experience with public, private, and hybrid cloud capabilities+ Experience with roll-out of large distributed systems and network engineering experience+ Must have strong verbal and written communication skills\#cjpost\#LI-remoteOur tradition of delivering innovative, technical solutions dates back to 1995, however, you may know us better by one of our legacy company names: Trident Technologies, Smartronix, Datastrong or C2S Consulting Group.
