GeneralThe Shop Assistant assigned to a Fixed Wing Regional Maintenance Facility (Depot) is responsible for performing hangar maintenance, janitorial functions, and aircraft cleaning/servicing tasks as per the duties and responsibilities listed below to the highest degree of competence and safety in compliance with all company policy and procedures. The Shop Helper (FW Depot) will report directly to the assigned Regional Maintenance Manager.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms minor hangar maintenance tasks as directed.Performs minor equipment maintenance and servicing tasks as directed.Performs janitorial services of the hangar floor area, shops and offices, as directed.Performs aircraft exterior washing and interior cleaning and detailing tasks as directed.Performs pickup and delivery services and runs administrative errands.Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the Regional Maintenance Manager.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in contorted positions.Possess a good mechanical aptitude and the ability to use general hand tools.Possess a strong work ethic, customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.Ability to work in a team environment with an eagerness to contribute to the overall success of the Maintenance department and the Company.
