To support the vision we are building a platform that manages end-to-end lifecycle, from provisioning to upgrade to terminate; and provides a self-service cloud experience to the customer, we are looking for passionate engineers who are Oracle Database AND Exadata experts. We are looking for engineers who have current experience in cloud technologies or are interested in expanding their skills in the Cloud.
Minimum Qualifications

• 
  8+ years of experience building, maintaining, forecasting, securing on-prem and cloud native distributed systems
  
  
• 
  BS or MS (preferred) in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  
  
• 
  Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  
  
• 
  Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts
  
  
• 
  Proficient in Python, Perl and/or Shell Scripting
  
  
• 
  You are experienced at building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols
  
  
• 
  Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshoot issues when they arise
  
  
• 
  Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)

  Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services.

      High availability & replication technologies (Dataguard, Goldengate)

      Advanced scripting/coding skills (Shell, Perl and Python)

      Understanding of REST Architecture and JSON is a plus

      Building and managing Linux OS systems with good understanding how the Linux kernel works (IO, Network, etc.) and ability to read and understand source code
      
      
      Responsibilities
      Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on the shared full stack ownership of a collection of services and/or technology areas. Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Responsible for the design and delivery of the mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Authority for end-to-end performance and operability. Partner with development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture. Articulate technical characteristics of services and technology areas and guide Development Teams to engineer and add premier capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio. Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack. Demonstrate clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles. Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and their dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Understand and explain the affect of product architecture decisions on distributed systems. Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies.Disclaimer:

      California Pay Range: from $107,400 to $214,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
      Colorado Pay Range: from $101,400 to $193,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
      New York City Pay Range: from $101,400 to $204,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
      Washington Pay Range: from $113,400 to $204,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
      Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
      Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
