Responsibilities

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- - Prepares and performs a variety of CT and radiologic procedures. -
--- - Provides patient care during procedures.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
--- - Essential: - standing, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting, pushing/pulling maximum weight of 50 pounds of force, carrying usual weight of 25 pounds. -
--- - Continuous: - reaching at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object. -
--- - Frequent: - stooping/bending, lifting weight up to maximum weight of 50 pounds, carrying usual weight of 50 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. -
--- - Occasional: kneeling, squatting, twisting body. -
--- - Operates CT scanner, computer, telephone, printer.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
--- - Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. -
--- - Exposed to communicable diseases. Work environment may be stressful due to patient volume.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. - EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
--- - Current Hawaii state license as Radiologic Technologist.
--- - Current certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.). - If not certified, certification must be obtained within one (1) year of entrance into the position.
--- - In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with the Medical Staff.
--- - Current BLS/HCP certification.

B. - EXPERIENCE:
--- - Two (2) - years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility;
OR
--- - One (1) year experience in Radiologic Special Procedures.
--- - CT experience preferred.
