SMX is seeking a Ground Operations and Advanced Technology Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the integration of Ground Combat information into a new USINDOPACOM sponsored AI/ML enabled plans capability (STORMBREAKER)The Ground Combat SME must understand the complexity and value of operational information flow (GFM, DRRS, ORION, etc.) to decision-makers; be able to assess and evaluate best use of Ground combat data in the Joint Planning Process (JPP); and synchronize how this information is represented and integrated into the wargaming processKey areas of understanding for the Ground Combat SME are infantry operations, artillery and/or fires, CAS, other weapon systems, munitions, logistics and Joint plansThe Ground Combat SME must be well versed in the JPP and understand the information needed to successfully integrate Ground Combat operations into operational design and COA developmentThe Ground Combat SME will educate and inform developers of the C2IE (Command and Control of the Information Environment) system how best to represent ground force capabilities within C2IE and integrate into an AI enabled Joint Operational Planning Toolkit (JOPT)This position will also advise developers working with the STORMBREAKER COA analysis wargame how to relay that information into a wargaming scenarioThis position will be responsible to identify key data sources/datasets that support Ground Combat planning and execution and ensure that developers understand how to integrate, interpret, and represent this dataThis position will identify how to integrate an understanding of adversarial use of air, ground, surface and subsurface based platforms and the impact of Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS), cyber and space-based operations on ground-based assets in the STORMBREAKER wargameEssential Duties and Responsibilities:--- The Ground Combat SME will provide and oversee high-value analysis, assessment, test and evaluation of new capabilities to integrate Ground Combat capabilities onto the plans, operations and the wargaming process--- Conduct research, inform new capabilities, and support operational, and strategic Joint plans--- Provide support for the development, planning, staffing, coordination, integration, execution, and assessment of Ground Combat Capabilities--- Recommend how to integrate Ground Combat targeting strategies into operational plans--- Recommend how to integrate Ground Combat capabilities to enhance COA development and COA analysis--- Identify operational use-cases for enhancements in Ground Combat capabilities and provide developers with insights on integration options that can translate into system upgrades--- Assess and provide formal recommendations on emerging tools methodologies--- Identify adversary capabilities and assist with integration concepts for the C2IE, JOPT and STORMBREAKER wargame Required Skills & Experience--- Clearance Required: Top Secret--- Minimum of a bachelor's degree--- Must possess 8 years of experience in military plans and/or operations (infantry, artillery, tanks, mechanized, SOF) related field--- Experience with the planning process at the theater level (Operations Plans) OPLANS, CONPLANS and Theater Campaign Plan (TCP)--- Strong written and oral communication skills--- Experience conducting assessments--- Familiarity with Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint--- SAM/SAW graduate highly desired #LI-AP1 #CJPOST At SMX -, we are a team of technical and domain experts dedicated to enabling your missionFrom priority national security initiatives for the DoD to highly assured and compliant solutions for healthcare, we understand that digital transformation is key to your future successWe share your vision for the future and strive to accelerate your impact on the worldWe bring both cutting edge technology and an expansive view of what's possible to every engagementOur delivery model and unique approaches harness our deep technical and domain knowledge, providing forward-looking insights and practical solutions to power secure mission accelerationSMX is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforceAll qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to disability status, protected veteran status, race, color, age, religion, national origin, citizenship, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy or genetic informationSMX is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer including disability and veteransSelected applicant will be subject to a background investigation.
