ResponsibilitiesPeraton requires a Journeyman Help Desk Specialist to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 at Camp H.M Smith, HI. The purpose of SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services, including Network Operations (NetOps), system and network infrastructure maintenance, end-user and device support, configuration, change, license, asset management, training, and IMACs services. The role is critical to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and end-users worldwide operating 24/7/365.The Help Desk Specialist provides support in electronic mail, account management, desktop applications, and government-deployed applications. The role requires a strong understanding of voice and data communications, LAN/WAN, networking, hardware/software troubleshooting, and call center support. The specialist acts as the POC for creating, responding to, and resolving end-user incidents, coordinating with various site personnel, and tracking resolutions from start to finish.Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Managing helpdesk tickets within the ITSM system.
  • Guiding troubleshooting and repair of end-user issues.
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting IT systems and equipment.
  • Supervising workstation reimaging and maintenance.
  • Maintaining shared file access.
  • Monitoring staff performance related to CAC/Token credentials and LRA capabilities.
  • Tracking and managing IT projects, incidents, and changes affecting customers.
  • Escalating incidents appropriately to support teams or vendors.
  • Supporting the USSOCOM mission, which may include shift work or non-standard hours.Qualifications
    • 2 years of experience with a BS/BA or 6 years with a HS Diploma.
    • TS/SCI clearance or higher required.
    • DoD IAT Level II Certification required.
    • Experience in information systems development, network operations, or related fields.
    • Experience managing helpdesks in multi-user environments, with strong knowledge of PC OS, network, and email operations, and prior supervision of help desk staff.
