Job Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The IT Applications Support Specialist will assist faculty, staff,
parents, and students working with our growing school data systems
and services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
- Respond to, solve, and/or coordinate parent, student, faculty,
and staff support requests relating to the school's Student
Information System (SIS) and integrated applications.
- Communicate with support requestors, internal departments, and
application support teams.
- Connect support requestors to internal departments and/or
application support teams.
- Document technical issues and resolutions to contribute to
procedure guides and process improvement.
- Assist the Director of Technology, Registrar, and Director of
Finance in administrating, maintaining, developing, and optimizing
the school's SIS and integrated applications.
- Assist the Director of Technology with maintaining systems
integrations between the SIS and other services.
- Work with Tech Services and key stakeholders on implementing
future integrations and software initiatives.OTHER
DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
- Work with the Technology Services Team on select initiatives or
projects as needed.
- Work effectively in a team environment resolving problems,
discussing new requirements, etc.

- Spiritual : Must have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
of their life and; demonstrate a living relationship with Jesus
Christ and beliefs as described in "The Baptist Faith and Message",
the tenets of the Southern Baptist denomination.
- Skills/Knowledge : Must have excellent communication and
customer support skills (parents, students, faculty/staff). Working
knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google
Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail, Drive). Ability to multitask,
think independently, is motivated to problem-solve, and takes
initiative with tasks. Must be willing to continually learn new
apps, systems and features. Must be willing to learn basic
operations of different departments within the school. Must be able
to communicate clearly and professionally with all parties
involved.
- Education : Minimum of undergraduate degree in computer
technology, education, or administrative fields.
- Experience : Three years of comparable experience in education,
customer support, technology support, or business administration
fields required. Proven record of client or customer satisfaction.
Experience or aptitude in diagnosing application problems and
implementing solutions.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Skills/Knowledge : Familiarity and understanding of school
perspectives and operations.
- Experience : IT application administration and/or SIS
experience a plus. Basic SQL knowledge a plus. Blackbaud experience
a plus.
