exploration and analytics projects through your experience with
programming languages, such as SQL, R, or Python, operationalizing
models, containerization, data architecture, and cloud computing
platforms for the defense sector.The defense sector is looking for
individuals with exceptional mathematical modeling backgrounds who
have done outstanding work utilizing tools, such as AI/ML and other
state of the art algorithms. For example, our Honolulu office is
leading efforts related to optimization of logistics planning and
we would love for you to bring expertise or interest in operations
research related optimization problems. Moreover, we work on
problem sets more broadly that involve Natural Language Processing
and text analysis, so you will be exposed to a wide variety of
modeling aspects-we are looking for someone who is creative and
excited about solving problems from a variety of angles!You'll work
closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and
then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of
their information puzzle. You'll guide teammates and lead the
development of algorithms and systems. You'll use the right
combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data
points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make
informed decisions. Ultimately, you'll provide a deep understanding

modeling, such as AI/ML, simulations, or data mining3+ years of
experience utilizing Python for mathematical modeling and data work
leveraging standard libraries, such as NumPy, pandas, matplotlib,
or scikit-learnExperience solving optimization problems from an
operations research perspective, such as linear and nonlinear
programming and constraint programmingKnowledge of mathematics,
such as linear algebra, vector calculus, and optimizationAbility to
break down complex problems into tractable programmatic and
mathematical pieces that can be effectively solved in an organized
and efficient mannerAbility to obtain a Secret clearanceMaster's
degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
field, such as Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or

and computing tools, such as Spark, MapReduce, or HadoopExperience

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to
$225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the
typical salary range for this position and is just one component of
Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting
