Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Provides clerical assistance to the Klipper Golf Course Manager, performing a variety of administrative, reporting and control accounting duties involving the operations of the Golf Course. Maintains memorandum records which track and ensure the golf course operates within approved budgets; reviews cash receipts during shift, and as necessary instructs starter desk/sales personnel on proper cash handling in relation to golf course cost reporting; prepares daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc management reports from operational data maintained such as compiling statistics on patron usage with comparative ratios on tee-time hours. Performs research in connection with presentation of statistical data, researching status of purchase order requests, and maintains various action control records, tracking responses due from organizational units on customer comments regarding golf course operations. Tabulates hours worked by staff members for timekeeping and breaks down hours according to various labor categories; maintains up-to-date records of employee pay rates for determining labor costs. Ensures invoices and purchase orders are processed to appropriate accounting codes. Carries out necessary clerical input to various computerized system data base information maintained by the Golf Course. Performs a variety of office clerical and administrative tasks independently, requiring a substantial level of judgment and discretion, including the establishment and maintenance of Golf Course Management Files, initiating and processing requests for personnel actions; preparing routine correspondence on own or from brief oral instructions; distributing mail; responding to routine inquiries from various sources; ensuring outgoing correspondence documents are properly completed; and serves as receptionist for the Golf Course Manager. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must be proficient in researching and presenting statistical information and in general office support methods and procedures. Work involved requires a high level of commitment to the policies and program goals of the Golf Course. Ability to operate a personal computer and adapt various software applications and demonstrated effective and oral and written communication skills are required.
