Information Assurance Analyst-Intermediate Location HI - Honolulu Job Code 10028 # of openings 1 Apply Now (https://phg.tbe.taleo.net/phg04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=AKIMEKATECH&cws=43&rid=10028) The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Information Assurance Analystto support our government customer located in Honolulu, Hawaii. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze and correlate anomalous events identified in Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, and supporting devices/applications. These devices, applications, tools, and data include, but are not limited to the following:

  • ArcSight SIEM (or similar capability), HBSS (Host Based Security Systems), TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) Dump, Attack, Sensing, & Warning Sensors (Snort, Full Packet Capture (PCAP), Flow data, Pipeline and Super Mediator), Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Router and firewall logs, Syslog data, Web Proxy / Reverse Proxy logs, SPLUNK, Big Data Platforms, Cyber analytics applications and Netflow Data. Analyze, correlate and trend anomalous events and incidents to identify and characterize the threat or incident in such a manner that will:
  • Identify the cause, source, and methodology of compromises or incident.
  • Identify and recommend network configuration changes in order to (IOT) deter the existing threat.
  • Configure and fine tune detection/prevention capabilities for IDS, IPS, SIEM, and supporting devices/applications.
  • Facilitate reporting and situational awareness to ARCYBER, DISA, CCMDs, and respective regional Theater Signal Commands.
  • Facilitate reporting to Law enforcement and Counter-Intelligence investigation agencies.
  • Update Incident Handling procedures, response guidelines, and checklists based on findings and lessons learned.
  • Submit forensically sound media images to ARCYBER F&MA as directed. REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, preferred.
  • Must meet at least one baseline certification under the CSSP-Analyst position category per DoD 8570.01-M regulations upon hire (CEH, CFR, CCNA-Security, CYSA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, Cloud+, SCYBER, PenTest+, CCNA-Cyber Ops)
  • Must meet the following Computing Environment (CE) certifications within 6 months of hire:
  • CIO/G6 NETCOM IA MD-101 Managing Modern Desktops Skillport Course
  • MS 365 Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Operating System Certifications: SNORT IDPS/IPS Training Certificate based on current market offerings (SNORT and/or Sourcefireexperience highly preferred).
  • Training IAW PWS Requirements: IA Awareness Training, as specified in AR 25-2; Antiterrorism Level I; iWATCH; Level I OPSEC; TARP Training; Theater Specific Training, if applicable CSSP-A (CEH, CFR, CYSA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER). REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Knowledge and minimum of 2 years in Information Assurance Systems/Network Analysis
  • Experience with Network intrusion detection system (NIDS) software such as SNORT Experience with Army Cyber Security (CS) guidance and regulations. REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
