Job Description & RequirementsMedical Laboratory Technician - (Med Lab Tech - MLT)StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $1400.00 - 1700.00ndependently performs qualitative and quantitative testsin assigned section(s), following established guidelines and predeterminedcriteria... Performs tests and calculations, documents and reports results. Followsestablished QA/QC policies and procedures. Operates, calibrates, conductsperformance checks and maintains laboratory instruments and equipment.Maintains procedures, records and logs. Identifies problems that mayadversely affect test performance and/or results and uses knowledge, deductiveskills and judgment to troubleshoot and resolve them. Recognizes abnormalor unusual pre-analytical, post-analytical and post-analytical problems.Specialist: Performs duties and responsibilities only in specialized areafor which individual is licensed.Education/Experience:--- Medical Technologist - Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or relatedscience and successful completion of an approved Medical Technology internshipprogram, OR--- Medical Laboratory Technician - Associate degree from an accreditedSchool of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and completion of an approved clinicallaboratory internship. Certification/Licensure--- Certified as an MT/MLS or MLT by one of the National Commission of HealthCertifying Agencies or by an agency recognized by the Hawaii Department ofHealth Laboratories Branch.--- State license as a Technologist or Technician.
