Sr. Benefits Analyst - HR Total Rewards (Full-Time, 40, Day)
Location Queen's Health Systems Full/Part Time Full-Time Standard
Hours 40.00 Regular/Temporary Regular Favorite Job Shift Day
Responsibilities I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- Plans and administers the Queen's Health Systems overall
benefit programs. -
--- Responsible for multiple aspects of the program, which includes
but not limited to health and welfare plans, defined benefit and
defined contribution plans, and other benefits. -
--- Prepares and directs the communication efforts regarding
benefits information to the organization. -
--- Ensures maintenance of the organization's benefits objectives
and competitive position in the marketplace. -
--- Provides technical guidance and work leadership to specialists
and directs work of staff for given projects.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
--- Essential: stooping/bending, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing,
speaking, lifting usual weight of 10 pounds.
--- Frequent: standing, walking, reaching at and below shoulder
level. -
--- Occasional: sitting, kneeling, climbing stairs, walking on
uneven ground, squatting, pushing/pulling usual weight of 10 pounds
up to 25 pounds; carrying weight of 5 pounds; reaching above
shoulder level. -
--- Operates computer, typewriter, calculator, copier, facsimile,
and telephone.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
--- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental
conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
--- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or related
field.
--- Master's degree and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist
(CEBS) highly desirable. -
B. EXPERIENCE:
--- Four (4) years progressive experience in employee benefits
administration. -
--- Healthcare industry highly desirable.
--- Advanced analytical, quantitative and PC software (e.g. EXCEL,
WORD, POWER POINT) skills required.
--- Strong communication skills as well as interpersonal, coaching,
consulting, and process and project management skills.
--- Familiarity with automated systems in benefits administration
and PeopleSoft highly desirable.
