Do you want to love your career and cultivate that same passion in others?VCA Kaneohe Animal Hospital located in Kaneohe, Hawaii is seeking a talented Registered Veterinary Technician to join and lead the technical team as a Technician Supervisor.Requirements: Must have a current veterinary technician license in the state or Hawaii, or eligible to transfer/obtain a license in Hawaii. Minimum of 5 years experience preferred. Must possess skills in veterinary emergency and critical care nursing; organization and planning; verbal, written, and presentation communication skills; veterinary leadership, management. and supervision; and problem solving.Schedule: 4/10s - Shifts range throughout the week, fulfill a forty (40) hour work week on days that are based on the needs of the hospital.Closing (730p) and weekend availability is a requirement.Compensation: This position pays $26.00 - $28.00 per hour, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.Benefits: We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), generous employee pet discounts and more!Relocation Assistance up to $5000 available.Location: 45-608 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744VCA Kaneohe Animal Hospital is located on the windward side of the beautiful island of Oahu. In the supervisor role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Directing workflow on the floor Help with the interview process for potential new hires Technician Scheduling Assists in staffing and coverage where needed Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience Mentoring technicians within the department Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.Why Join the VCA Kaneohe Team?We are passionate about supporting Veterinary Technicians and are committed to your continuing education and personal career development.
