Job Description Job Description NOW HIRING: Director of Store Planning Location: Honolulu, HI Type: Full-time; Hybrid Salary Range: $120-$150K annually, commensurate with experience and approved budget Bishop & Company is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Store Planning on behalf of a well-established, locally owned company with over 75 years of service in Hawai‘i’s grocery retail industry. This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to shape store layouts, category adjacencies, and product placement strategies to enhance customer experience, drive sales, and optimize space in stores statewide. What You’ll Do: Lead all aspects of store planning and product placement, including schematics, adjacencies, and space optimization Partner with buyers, analysts, and cross-functional teams to develop data-informed, customer-centric store layouts Translate business goals into actionable plans that enhance merchandising effectiveness Manage store schematics and floor plan execution across all locations Oversee display planning and seasonal merchandising strategies Support store resets and new store planning efforts with creative, strategic thinking Collaborate across departments to ensure consistency and alignment with company standards and objectives Travel as needed to stores across Hawai‘i and attend planning meetings or events What We’re Looking For: 5 years of proven experience in store planning or schematics within the grocery retail industry 3 years of management or director-level experience, with demonstrated team leadership skills Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with space planning software preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required Willingness to travel to neighbor island stores and work flexible hours when needed Perks: Hybrid work environment (office store visits) Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, employee assistance, and more Collaborative, mission-driven company culture with deep community ties Bishop & Company provides recruiting and placement services for client companies and opportunities for job seekers throughout Hawai‘i.
