- And Many More!Position Purpose: High member encounter position
establishing, supporting, and maintaining current and potential
member relationships by conveniently processing financial
transactions by mail, in person or by electronic interactions.
Introduces and cross-sells products and services while opening new
share/share draft accounts, thoroughly explaining credit union
policies, providing account statuses, processing loan applications
and accounts including, CDs and IRAs. The Member Services
Representative provides exceptional service and is accountable for
the accuracy and execution of all essential functions.Essential
Functions:
- Collects and prepares new account documents, member
information, and/or loan applications to accurately open accounts
complying with all requirements identified in the credit union s
Customer Identification Program.
- Carefully identifies, analyzes, and recommends opportunities
for additional products and services correlating with member
needs.
- Accepts and processes consumer loan applications and requests
in accordance with current loan procedures.
- Opens, processes, and closes IRA (share and certificate)
accounts.
- Assists with establishing direct deposits, account closures,
and deceased accounts.
- Quickly addresses and resolves security breaches.
- Facilitates stop payments, account disputes, and assists in the
initiation of wire transfers.
- Promotes and recommends third party protection products to
appropriate members.
- Actively engages in credit union marketing campaigns and
promotions.
- Develops member relationships and communicates via e-mail,
phone, or mail communications.
- Performs deposit, loan, and a variety of financial transactions
as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Performance Standards:
- Provides exceptional member relationship services (internally &
externally).
- Achieves new accounts and loan production capacities as
determined annually.
- Keeps current on credit union policies, procedures and
products/services.
- Consistently assists, performs and/or promotes work functions
with accuracy, promptness, and completeness.
- Addresses and resolves disputes and requests within established
timeframes.
- No audit issues.
- Complies with all regulatory procedures relating to member
accounts, loans, and IRA information.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certification: High School or GED is
required.Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of MS Office Suite
is desired.Experience Required: 1 - 2 years
teller/operations/customer service experience.Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication and customer service skills.Excellent
analytical and problem solving skills.Able to prioritize workload
and meet deadlines.Able to work independently and make sound
decisions. ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:Repetitive
Motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using wrists,
hands, and/or fingers. Communication Skills: Must frequently convey
detailed or important instructions of ideas accurately and
quickly.Visual Abilities: Average visual acuity necessary to read,
prepare and inspect documents or products.Hearing: Able to hear
average or normal conversations and receive information. Physical
Strength: Sedentary work (sitting most of the time). Able to lift
and carry up to 25 lbs.Reasoning Ability: Able to apply common
sense understanding to carry-out detailed instructions and to deal
with problems involving variables.Mathematics Ability: Able to
perform basic math skills including adding, subtracting,
multiplying and dividing using a calculator.Language Ability: Able
to write complex sentences using normal word order with present and
past tenses, as well as a command of the English vocabulary.WORKING
CONDITIONS:Air-conditioned, smoke-free office setting. BUSINESS
HOURS & ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS:Monday through Saturday. Business
hours are subject to change. Please note actual schedule may vary
and attendance requirements may be based on business needs; must be
able to work additional hours, weekends, and holidays, as
needed.
