Strategy Location: Honolulu, HI Type: Full-time; Hybrid Salary
Range: $120K to $150K annually, commensurate with experience and
approved budget Bishop & Company is seeking a forward-thinking
Director of Pricing Strategy on behalf of a respected, locally
owned grocery retailer with over 75 years of service in Hawai‘i.
This critical leadership role will shape company-wide pricing
strategy, enhance margin performance, and lead the implementation
of pricing systems designed to improve operational efficiency and
customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do: Develop and implement
competitive pricing strategies in partnership with Sales and
Merchandising teams Oversee pricing systems and ensure accurate
item setup, labeling, and promotional execution across all
locations Analyze market trends, competitor data, and customer
behavior to guide pricing decisions Optimize profitability through
thoughtful pricing adjustments while maintaining customer trust and
brand integrity Lead a cross-functional pricing team and serve as
the internal expert on system functionality and pricing best
practices Monitor sales and margin performance to evaluate the
effectiveness of promotions and pricing tactics Collaborate with
executive leadership to align pricing with overall business goals
Provide targeted support for affiliated businesses utilizing
pricing services What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in
Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related field 5 years
of experience in retail pricing, merchandising, operations,
finance, or marketing 2 years of supervisory experience leading
high-performing teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
with a data-informed mindset Experience with pricing systems and
retail software tools preferred Excellent communication and
cross-functional collaboration skills Knowledge of Hawai‘i’s retail
market and customer preferences is a plus Master’s degree preferred
