Job Description:

Ryder, a leading name in the logistics and transportation industry, is looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Director of Business Development to join our team. This role is pivotal in steering the growth initiatives at Ryder by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving innovation across our supply chain solutions, fleet management, and dedicated transportation services. As a part of our dynamic team, you will lead efforts to expand our market presence and enhance our service offerings, maintaining our commitment to innovation and efficiency. Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand company's market share and brand presence. Forge and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders, potential clients, and business partners. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status. Lead negotiations to secure and close major deals that will contribute to the company's long-term success. Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute lead generation plans. Coordinate with the operations and logistics teams to align the expanded capabilities and services with customer needs. Regularly report achievements and business forecasts to senior management. Manage business development budgets and project timelines. Strategic planning and business market analysis Professional networking and partnership development Leadership and team management Effective communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k MBA or other relevant postgraduate degree (preferred) Certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCM) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (beneficial)
