Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM About the Role We are
seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Accountant to join our
nonprofit organization. Under the direction of the Executive
Director, this role is responsible for ensuring accuracy and
integrity in financial data, maintaining compliance with nonprofit
accounting standards, and supporting grant and donor reporting. The
ideal candidate brings strong accounting experience and a passion
for supporting community-focused work. Key Responsibilities Manage
day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR, journal entries,
reconciliations, and chart of accounts. Prepare and review
financial reports , budgets, and quarterly updates for program
managers and leadership. Ensure grant and donor compliance ,
tracking restricted/unrestricted funds and supporting program staff
with reporting. Support audit readiness and tax filings, including
annual 990s, 1099s, and excise tax returns. Collaborate across
departments to provide accurate, timely, and transparent financial
data to stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field; or 5 years of relevant
experience . Strong knowledge of accounting principles and
nonprofit standards ; CPA preferred. Experience with MIP Fund
Accounting or similar software highly desired. Proficient in
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and financial reporting
tools. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational
