The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Part Time Janitor/Custodian to provide support services to the Haleakala National Park Summit District located in Maui, Hawai'i.DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide custodial services to the Haleakala National Park Summit District which include two visitor centers, several administrative offices, one campground, and multiple trailheads.Services include but are not limited to:Basic cleaning servicesRemove trash and recyclingMirrorsDrinking fountainsGeneral spot cleaning/ disinfectingGeneral dustingRestroom disinfectingClean and disinfectDescale, toilet bowls and urinalsSweep, mop, and disinfect floorsStock restroom suppliesGraffiti removalNeeded repairsClogged/blocked toiletsEmergency cleaning servicesAssistance with special eventsPeriodic deep cleaningOther duties as assigned.REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:High School Diploma or equivalentValid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Two (2) years of custodial work experience.Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods of timeAbility to efficiently manage time to complete tasks within designated schedules while maintaining quality standardsHave an understanding of health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipmentPossess the attention to detail to be thorough in cleaning tasks and ensuring that facilities are well-maintained and presentable to visitorsAble to use small and portable hand and power toolsAble to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingMust be able to speak, read, and write EnglishREQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:Must be a U.S. CitizenMust be able to pass a Federal background checkThe Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is a fast-growing government service provider.
